LINCOLN COUNTY, N.C. — The Lincoln County Grand Jury has formally accused 11 people on 100 charges on Jan. 19, according to authorities. Deputies have arrested seven of the 11 suspects as of Wednesday.

The charges sparked from an undercover operation, targeting street level dealers, during in the last part of 2021.

The individuals indicted by the Grand Jury were attempting to distribute large quantities of heroin, methamphetamine, crack cocaine and prescription drugs in the communities around Lincoln County, according to the sheriff’s office. The Lincoln County Grand Jury indicted the suspects on a total of 100 charges.

The Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office used a variety of investigative tools including undercover purchases of narcotics to identify the suspects.

According to the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office seven of the suspects have already been arrested:

• Jewel Beaumont, 23, of Lincolnton, is charged with trafficking heroin by possession, sell, deliver and manufacturing and maintaining a dwelling for a controlled substance.
• Christie Sheppard, 40, of Iron Station, is charged with sell and deliver heroin, possession with intent to sell and deliver heroin, and maintaining a dwelling for a controlled substance.
• Matthew Vierra, 40, of Iron Station, is charged with conspiracy to sell and deliver heroin.
• Erica Caraluzzo, 35, of Lincolnton, is charged with sell and deliver heroin, sell and deliver methamphetamine, possession with the intent to sell and deliver methamphetamine and heroin, and maintaining a dwelling for a controlled substance.
• Breanna Niemcyk, 26, of Lincolnton, is charged with sell and deliver heroin, possession with the intent to sell and deliver heroin and maintaining a dwelling for a controlled substance.
• Jeffery Caldwell, 40, of Lincolnton, is charged with 14 counts including trafficking methamphetamine, sell and deliver methamphetamine, and possession with the intent to sell and deliver methamphetamine.
• Kylie Rozzelle, 28, of Claremont, was arrested on charges of conspiracy to sell and deliver methamphetamine and possession with intent to sell and deliver methamphetamine.

The names of the other individuals indicted by the Grand Jury will be released as they are arrested.
