for ankys... you can pick them up while on an argy and they will still mine metals automatically. you don't have to drop them off just hover them infront of a metal node. it makes harvesting metals so much faster and easier just occasionally transfer some metals from the anky to the argy

forgot an important andrewsarchus feature: underwater exploration. The cabin is airtight and andrew has infinite oxygen

I honestly prefer crystal wyverns (specifically Tropical) to the regular wyverns for everyday use. You can passively tame one with just a bunch of regular crystals once you're high enough level (65, IIRC), making them one of the best risk-vs-reward tames out there.
Also, the crystal wyverns are easier to maneuver, and the Tropicals get that hydrated buff for +25% flight speed (and dmg and regen), making them one of the fastest flyers to have on most maps.

While in the Andrew's turret, you are immune to dismount and the saddle has no durability so it is unbreakable. Very good for boss fights esp if the boss has a dismount attack

Excellent videos mate!! Apreciated just a side note the snow owl in fact can heal several dinos if they are near it, i mean if u can put 10 rexes around it and heal, it will heal all of the 10 rexes! Another underrated dinos that is my first tame is the equus, excellent dino to have, best to ko dinos, it gather wood and thatch not that much, can gather berries and it can act like a mobile mortal&pestle.

1. Rock Drake (high damage, high health, you can jump distances very quickly, dive (if you don't want to fight underwater he can still turn invisible), crawling on walls)
2. Argentavis (they have a -50% carry multipliers to Stone, Metal, Metalbars, Obsidian, Crystal, Wood, can carry up to 2 dinos at the same time)
3. Combi of Argentavis & Ankylo. the Ankylo have a -85% carry multiplier on metal (If you play always alone, these are the best way to farm metal (you'll never have enough))
4. Aberrant Spino or Rex for Boss Fights (I prefer aberrant Spino, immunity against radioactivity, movement speed, attack speed and the ability to dive)
∟Warning: you can enter the Tek-Cave only with a trick (for Spino-user)
5. Therizino (We all know why)
6. Combi of Doedicurus and Basilisk (Stone carry multiplier on Basilisk and a good protector)
7. Shadowmane or Thya 4 schnetzeling :D
8. Combi of Yutyrannus and Megatherium (goodbye, apex Broodmother)

Maewing and Rock Drakes are my go to ATV mounts.
Basilisks is also my go-to boss killer as it will tank everything when charge light is not around. Between the ranged attack and how they are a snake rex in terms of stats? Yea, I really love them. One of the most annoying tames out there, but damn useful.
On non-Aberration I find the Reaper King to be very good for boss fights too. Transfer one in and sub out a weaker rex or two and bam, way easier.

The anky is also a good swimmer and good for harvesting oil, and for getting wyvern eggs I recommend using a desmodus so you can go invisible. This only works for getting in though, if you turn invisible while trying to get out, it doesn't work.

I love the red for its simplicity of mechanics such as bite do big damage and big Dino tank big damage

if you play with S+ mod, you can work with the omni-tool to load the metal in the anky to the argentavis in the air, withour the need to landing

I know it’s not on every map but to me shadowmanes are easily the most useful and versatile tame ever and not to mention how dope they are

Just started playing ARK seriously this past week or so. Me and a tribe member were on the hunt to get Argentavis for them (I already had one) when we ran into a Tek Rex. I believe it’s quite rare so we dropped our plans and focused on taming that. Without any tutorials our plan was for me to hold my tribe member with the Argy, hover over the Tek Rex, and they shot it with Tranq darts using Longneck Rifle. Worked like a charm. Unfortunately neither of us have unlocked Rex Saddle yet so we tried to lead it back home by having it follow my member while I carried them. Then, as we were less than 200m from home a Spinosaurus killed it… damn.

i'd personally go for a therezino as everything other than piranhas/leeches will ignore you whilst gathering mats in the swamps.
It's essential for gathering tons of rare flowers/mushrooms + gathering species x seeds for mid to late game.
then again, can't think of a dino it should replace in the top10. maybe the rex, depending on your playstyle

The sanguine elixir will also increase the imprinting meter on a baby you are raising by 30%, just like the taming meter

Shadowmanes. One of the most versatile tames you'll ever have. Free 80 armor so no saddle needed and one of the most over tuned skill sets in ark rivaling a maewing. A good mutated shadow will never die. I had one run threw the Ragnorok lava to save my life. That lava does 4k a tic. That shadow wasn't half as good as the shadows I have know born with 30hp I fact it only had about 20k with levels and it still turned ark from a survival game to a pet simulator

My list
1. Wyverns
one of the fastest fliers in the game while also being decently tanky and able to defend itself really well with high damage bite and breath attacks plus they are decently versatile being able to be used for transporting lots of items and recorces, being an all around travel mount or a straight up war beast if I had to pick the best wyverns i'd go Lightening for sheer damage with it's breath attack, Tropical for speed, Poison for sniping enemies, Blood for debuffs and fire for killing alpha wyverns
2.Giga
The Ultimate Damage dealer in ark and essential for PVP with a lot of Health and damage you'll be needing to meatrun enemy bases and destroy stone structures. the only downsides with the Giga are it's crappy stamina and it's rage meter but aside from those it's an essential late game tame.
3. Parasaur
I know what you're thinking at first glace the Parasaur looks like a crappy early game tame with little value but it's actually essential late game especially in PVP. Early game it makes for a decent berry gatherer and travel mount but late game it makes for an amazing alarm for you base just stick several inside your base at different entry points and it will alert you to any hostile players nearby I cannot tell you how useful this has been for me personally and letting me defend my base from enemy raids
4. Anky
The best metal gatherer in the game especially when it's melee is maxed out and combined with a Quetzel allowing you to farm thousands of metal I know a lot of people prefer the magmasaur due to how it can actually defend itself and how it can smelt the metal in it's inventory but I personally prefer the Anky as it can be picked up by a Argie or Quetzel and with the latter if it ends up encumbered it doesn't really matter as if it's on a mining ramp the quetz can still carry it no problem allowing you to farm a hell of a lot more metal.
5. Quetzel
When combined with the Anky it makes for the best way to farm metal, crystal and obsidian in the game. it can also be used as a battle quetz with mounted turrets and rockets on it's back making it really good for raiding bases and it has insane weight allowing it to carry a sh*tload of stuff for you only real downside with the Quetzel though is it's a slog to get anywhere on it due to it's slow movement speed
6.Argie
essentially a slightly worse Quetzel in terms of farming metal with an anky however it does have it's own set of advantages over the Quetzel the first being it can actually defend itself as it deals decent damage, it's saddle doubles as a smithy, It can carry up to 2 players one in it's talons the other in it's beak and it has a healing ability. however the main reason you're going to be using an argie is it's weight which is incredibly high allowing you to carry a lot of stuff especially metal which it has a 50% weight reduction on
7. T-rex
The main boss fight tame in ark Due to it's high damage, High health and relative ease of taming and finding it can also be used for Farming meat and hide and of course PVP where it can do a decent job in a fight only real downside to it is that there are far better options for PVP such as the previously mentioned Wyverns and Giga's plus the Rex is a big target and can be taken down relatively easily with powerful ranged weapons like a Compound bow
8. Managarmr
Essentially the Ice wyvern but actually good this thing is probably one of the best travel mounts in the game due to it's insane speed and multiple jumps. not to mention it's High damage and it's powerful Ice breath attack that can freeze enemies. the mana is lower on the list though due to it's low health, the fact that it's not too versatile as while it's good for PVP, travel and harvesting meat that's really all it's good for and the fact that it was drastically nerfed as back in the day this thing could have been at the top of my list but it was so powerful that It's ice breath and amount of jumps were both nerfed still an amazing creature though and essential for travel and PVP in my eyes.
9.Yuti
Essential for Boss Fights and Raids as it buffs your creatures with it's courage roar however it's lower on my list personally as while it is essential it cannot defend itself very well as it's melee attack is very slow it honestly seems like a one trick pony a lot of the time with it's roar buffs being the only really great thing about it
10. Sinomacrops
The only shoulder pet that is essential in my eyes this thing is essentially a safety net for your character acting as an infinite supply of parachutes have you just been picked off your tame by an enemy player? it's fine your Sinomacrops will stop you from falling to your death, want to make a quick escape? just jump of a cliff and let the Sino save you, in a cave with lava? just bring a Sino to no longer worry about falling in.
Honourable mentions
Reaper
I would have included it in my list if not for a few things how difficult it is to acquire as it's only available on 2 maps currently is incredibly difficult to tame and the fact it's countered by Lightpets and chargelight if not for those things this thing would be in the top 5 no question as it's a powerhouse Surpassing the Giga in terms of power while also being much faster due to it's jump and able to counter fliers with it's tail attack
Anglerfish
I ended up not including it as it's not available on most maps as most of them don't have oceans or water on them plus it's very much a one trick pony since all it's good for is farming a lot of silica pearls which to it's credit it does better than any other creature in the game
Pteranodon
Almost included this due to how useful it is in PVP and the fact it's the first flier in the game but i ended up not including it as it's stamina and Weight are both very poor and Ultimately the wyvern serves as the Much better PVP flier in my opinion
Rock Golem
Easily the best Turret soaker in the game due to it's massive health pool and high resistance to damage however it doesn't really do much else all that well it can collect stone and other materials sure but creatures like the Dodic and Anky do that a lot better
Velonasaur
This was probably the closest to making it on the list along with the reaper but Ultimately I decided on the Mana going on the list instead the Velo is still an amazing tame though with it's immense damage output, how easy it is to get and how easy it makes boss fights like the Lava golem.

Doeds for ele dust on extinction too!

I play a cluster mostly playing on Rag, I get a wyvern as soon as I possibly can, tame a Petra, give it stamina and weight, and pray I can escape the trench

My essentials are the Parasaur and the Trike. Parasaurs are great for detecting enemies, and Trikes are good for defense against headshots.

The snow owl definitely heals more than one target at a time. My buddy has one and we heal all our dinosaurs at once with the owl

the bat has night vison wich helps you see wild life at night and it has a screach it will see out other wild life in the dence forest

I got on crystal isles and tamed a temp flyer then went and got a blood wyvern the moment I got in there. After that I had to hatch it so I tamed up a few otters boosted their Melee and had them hatch the baby. It lived just fine with the meat in it's inventory and I got a full imprint on it. I was also extremely happy because it was a very high level

For me, personally as a single player guy(in no specific order, despite the lables)
10) Steggo. Can be found on almost every map, cant get knoced off, plus that impale is BRUTAL.
9) Rex. Not just the obvious, but killing the babies for XP. (Most people say giga for that, but as a single player, gigas are 100% pointless)
8) Arggy. Again, duh lol
7) Penguin. Poly farm is great, poly farm is good lol
6) Spino. Hey, you need something for the ocean, right?
5) Maewing. No explanation needed
4) Frog. Cement paste, baby!
3) Pegomastax. Im kidding, Daeodon. For the same reasons you listed.
2) Gacha. Or however you spell it. Because I like random blueprints lol
1) Snow Owl. Because I'm biased; Snow Owl is my absolute favorite tame.

Did you know that you can fly with an Argy and an Anky by a Metal node and you do not need to drop the Anky? Just fly rerally close and the Anky will hit it anyways. Works with Doedi too.

Always gotta get tek stryder if you’re on genesis. It’s literally the only resource collector you’ll ever need.

Whilst I agree with most your list, Maewing, Andrew, Pumba (As I call the pigs), and Yuty arent worth it. For berries, Theri. They will get me pretty much everything I want as far as general resources are concerned. Hide, Meat, Chitin, Pelt, Black Pearls, Fiber, Thatch, Wood and Berries. For pure wood gathering, I go for the Mammoth. Cause like the Anky and Doed, a 75% weight reduction on that specific resource. Then there is Frogger/Kermit, the frogs. Take them out hunting for ants/dragon flies, and you get TONS of CP. Save you beaver dam raiding. The last one is just a personal pref, but still. Dire Wolves. A nice large pack of them, and you can tear through most things pretty well. Sure they require a little more work to get fully battle ready, but still. A maxed out pack of them I find decimates most things. That and their just fun to run around on.

Tbh I really love Argies , on my first ark run ever I tamed a nearly max level and named her Yameen. I had no idea about the optimal build for her so I just pumped that hoe w Health and Melee damage, she put Rex’s and gigas in body bags 😂😂

Maewings are super easy to tame on genesis 2 early game just need the fed tek suit crossbow tranqs and mejos shoot it and chase it down with tek suit and keep shotting it till it flops and tame it.

To me, its really strange tgat they would made an super op mobility (and utility) tame like the maewing that easy to tame

You dont need to chase the maewing u can just use 3/4 wood billboards to trap it

I dont know if it was corrected in the comments or other videos, but Daedon for healing is a thing, but its not worth the effort unless you healing your boss army using the fly out of render mechanic which auto depletes hunger and eats all available food instantly while healing all that it would have with that hunger. otherwise its never useful to use daedon. Snow Owl has AOE healing and POWERFUL healing. Snow owl can heal in an arc its facing in and uses just stamina. Its far cheaper and far more powerful healing ability.
A single Daedon healing opportunity for a rex at 1hp to 30k hp will use thousands of meat and a lot of time...
Snow owl will need 3min of you just holding right click.

Anky is better then the magma because its size, i dont want a gigantic dino taking up space in my base if i only use it to gather metal, thats why i like the beaver more then the mammoth.

You mention the owl can only heal one target at a time. This is incorrect. The owl has a very small range, but its heal is AOE.
It is how we heal our rex armies en-mass between boss fights

I'd add the therizino and shadowmane to the list.
Why therizino? They're better boss-fighters than rexes against the dragon due to taking reduced damage from his fire breath and having the addictional healing through veggie cakes. But i'd say they're better than rexes in general because of the ability to heal from veggie cakes. They're also supreme gatherers, they can gather almost anything, including polymer, rare flowers and mushrooms. They also have delicate and power harvesting points to add when leveled, which increase their gathering abilities. They're a must for gathering important materials.
Why shadowmane? Duh. No need to explain. They're OP in everything but gathering.
EDIT: Sinomacrops too. It's the ultimate organic jetpack/glidesuit/parachute. Can make you fly, glide and parachute you to the ground, making fall damage non-existent. And it has a special scream ability that scares away bugs, microraptors and other small annoying creatures. And everything in its inventory gets their weight reduced by 50%.
